| Geni Skendo Releases Exciting New CD, "Acoustic Cowboy" After a successful performing career in his native Albania, Geni moved to the US in 2003 to raise his jazz playing to a higher level. His studies at the Berklee College of Music and The New England Conservatory (MM) led to a deep, ongoing involvement with the Boston music scene. The style of the new release might be categorized as "if Jazz & the World had a baby"! Geni and his compadres play original compositions & some arrangements of songs from Messiaen, African Pygmies & the Balkans. They also play a beautiful composition from Geni's first jazz teacher, Matt Marvuglio.
