Free Jazz Guitar Lessons From Chuck Loeb

Former Stan Getz and current Fourplay Guitarist, Chuck Loeb, is launching an online school this month with ArtistWorks. Not only does Chuck simplify jazz improv through a full library of online video lessons, but you'll be able to submit practice videos for Chuck to review and give you personalized video feedback.
We've put together three sample video lessons and a "Video Exchange " between Chuck and one of his students so you can get a taste of Chuck's amazing new online school.

One of the cornerstones of Chuck's method is called the "The Six Positions" and it is among these four free lessons!
To put it simply, "The Six Positions" are a way to simplify the neck of the guitar into 6 different hand patterns (shapes) for playing the same scale. So why would you need to know the Major Scale in 6 Positions? Basically it's about knowing how to find any note on the neck, in any key. Chuck's method boils a vast and complicated subject down to 6 Positions. These 6 Positions serve as a guide to help you memorize all the notes in a certain area, which will help you find the right note in any key, anywhere on the neck.

The curriculum in the new Online Jazz Guitar School with Chuck Loeb contains individual lessons that break down each of the 6 Shapes into much greater detail, but the free sample lesson focuses on why these 6 Shapes are so important to establish a foundation for playing jazz guitar.

Thanks to Chuck and ArtistWorks' Video Exchange platform, you can get personalized feedback from a master player and finally become the jazz guitarist you always wanted to be.
