ABOUT JASON
On a December night in 2010 in Herndon, Virginia, Jason stood in for a vocalist friend at the Ice House Café. Four hours and 30 songs later, Swinglab was born. Within three years, Jason and Swinglab (Ray Mabalot, piano, Woody Hume, drums and John Dahlman) were playing venues around DC, to include
TWINS JAZZ, GAYLORD NATIONAL HARBOR HOTEL, LANSDOWNE RESORT
BETHESDA BLUES & JAZZ, THE METROPOLITAN CLUB, THE NATIONAL BUILDING MUSEUM, THE WILLARD HOTEL and THE WHITE HOUSE

On November 16, 2012, Jason released his first album, Lovers Holiday, teaming with Swinglab and big band Swing Machine. The result was international airplay, over 25 positive reviews and a (still) top-20-ranked vocal jazz albums of Amazon.com.

ABOUT THE ALBUM
To me, the sounds of a good summer wine party are Django gypsy jazz and bossa nova. I'm inviting Swinglab back to the studio as well as world-class guitarist, John Albertson to bring something new to the genres. – Jason

French gypsy jazz with solid male vocals – somewhat of a rarity, yet overdue as live American musical offering. Jason has spent the last six months penning tunes that infuse the modern - songs about texting - with the traditional – cool piano trio jazz and Django licks. Themes are love (Back of My Mind), the city (Brooklyn July), and mostly summer (Summer Star, a new bossa by Jason featuring Woody Hume on percussion)

Jason will also cover two movie songs: Speak Softly, Love (1972, the Godfather) and One More Kiss Dear (1980, Bladerunner).

REWARDS
Pledge rewards start at $15.00 for a download card to $250.00 for a personalized ringtone and signed albums.

ABOUT KICKSTARTER
In July, 2012, Jason successfully funded his first album, Lovers Holiday, for 5000.00 and had all rewards on time and delivered to his 74 backers by November.

Kickstarter works only when the project meets its financial goal.

Faux Bourgeois Café's goal is 6500.00.

I'm working with the best players in DC, and I promise you'll love what we create. Thanks for your support to make this album happen! - Jason
