| John Mellencamp Teams with T-Bone Burnett for New Album John Mellencamp tells Rolling Stone magazine he's ready to record a new album and hit the road for a big tour. He says he's got "a notebook with 85 new songs" that he's written for the next record. He revealed that producer T Bone Burnett will meet him in Indiana in January and they'll head into the studio where John will make his first album in five years. When the record is done, John plans to go on a huge tour. He explained, "I want to do one hundred shows in the United States and Canada. Then I'll deal with the rest of the world later.
