| Congo Square to host Jazz Fest 2013 Congo Square, a non-profit music society dedicated to the promotion and exposition of jazz, blues and associated music announced the upcoming Kolkata Jazz Fest 2013.Congo Square which has been hosting the Jazz Fest since 2004 is all set to bring internationally acclaimed artists to the city on Nov 29, Nov 30 and Dec 1 at the Dalhousie Institute. In collaboration with numerous art councils, consulates, art agencies and jazz organizations operating across the world, Congo Square will create an intimate yet expansive setting in which music lovers are able to interact with authentic, soul-striking music in the midst of kindred souls and tonal and technical virtuosos. The 3 days Kolkata Jazz Fest will witness music by leading musicians from the USA, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Mexico, Australia, India, officials noted. Congo Square said that the most exciting part of this Jazz Fest will not only be centered round the celebrated figures of Jazz Culture with the likes of 2 time Grammy Nominee Cuban American drummer Dafnis Prieto, the bass legend Kai Eckhardt, noted double bass player and composer Carlos Bica, the top Dutch saxophonist Yuri Honing, the Czech superstar Milan Svoboda or the living legends like Prasanna and George Brooks; but also about rock musicians like Chandra of Fossils and Gabu of Lakkhichhara don a different hat altogether.Satyajit Roy Chaudhury, President, Congo Square said, "Jazz is meaning alongwith rhythm.
