| Nicole Henry wins 2013 Soul Train Award for Best Trad'l Jazz Perf. Internationally-acclaimed jazz/soul vocalist Nicole Henry is capping off what has been a remarkable year with her first national awards program win at the 2013 Centric Soul Train Awards, where she was honored with Best Traditional Jazz Performance. Sharing the category with fellow nominees George Benson (featuring Wynton Marsalis), Jeffrey Osborne (featuring Chaka Khan), Tony Bennett (featuring Marc Anthony), and Terence Blanchard, Henry won the award for her stellar performance of "Waiting in Vain, " from her 2013 release 'SO GOOD, SO RIGHT: NICOLE HENRY LIVE.' The awards ceremony was taped in Las Vegas on Nov. 8 and will air on BET & Centric TV nationwide on Sunday Dec. 1. This Sunday, November 24, Henry will also conclude her month-long Sunday residency at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City, where she performs two sets every Sunday afternoon at 12:30 & 2:30pm.
