The Sunday Series at Abingdon Presents Court Graves Jazzin’ With The Band

After performing solo shows in New York, Los Angeles and Palm Springs, Court Graves is excited to bring Jazzin’ With The Band to the Abingdon Theatre on Sunday November 3rd at 7:00 pm as part of their Sunday Series at Abingdon.

Accompanied by The Matt Baker Trio, JAZZIN' WITH THE BAND features Mr. Graves and a group of his favorite singers from the New York area performing Old and New Standards. All proceeds go to support the programs of the not-for-profit Abingdon Theatre Company.

Evan Shalat is a sophomore at Skidmore College majoring in business and music. She is involved in the School's musical theater club and loves singing all genres.

Maria Marsalis is a recent graduate of AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts in NYC. She is a member of Chorale Le Chateau performing in Abyssinian: A Gospel Celebration Concert Featuring the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.

Daniella Rodrigues is from Australia and is a new graduate of AMDA. She speaks 3 languages and has performed in dance and musical theater in Australia and NYC.

Cathy Venable has been a Broadway pianist on 11 shows as well as the New York Philharmonic, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. As a singer, Cathy has appeared as a classical soloist.

Robert Vest is Southern Entertainer, singer and songwriter and creator of the "Robert Vest and Friends" for the Sunday Series at Abingdon.

Ras Chemash Lamed is a jazz singer, performer, and gourmet vegetarian chef in NYC.

Jim Malloy sang with Doo Wop groups as a teenager and over the past 15 years has been a jazz band singer and can seen on Thursday nights at Swing46 in NYC.

Australian Jazz Pianist Matt Baker has performed at Jazz festivals, clubs, and concert halls in Australia, Europe, America, and the Pacific. As of 2010, he is now proud to call New York City his home.

Since 1993, not-for-profit Abingdon Theatre Company has developed and produced new plays by American playwrights exclusively. Under the artistic direction of Jan
Buttram, the company provides a safe home in which playwrights collaborate with other theatre artists and receive audience feedback through the utilization of our four-step development process: First Readings, Staged Readings, and Workout Labs, which culminate in Studio Productions and Mainstage Productions.
