Alejandro Sanz Meets Berklee

This concert, showcasing Alejandro Sanz's music as interpreted by Berklee students and faculty, will celebrate the presentation of his honorary degree from Berklee, and feature Sanz himself on selected songs. Sanz's new album, La Música No Se Toca, is one of 2013's best-selling albums and he has produced three consecutive No. 1 singles in Spain, Latin America, and the U.S. Sanz has won a total of three Grammy Awards and 16 Latin Grammy Awards, including three Latin Grammy Album of the Year Awards, a distinction no other artist can claim for that category.The concert is being presented by the Berklee Mediterranean Music Institute under the artistic direction of renowned producer Javier Limón with Oscar Stagnaro and will be arranged and conducted by Matthew Nicholl.

Limón, artistic director of the Mediterranean Music Institute, has long been a friend to and collaborator with Sanz. Last semester, Berklee students in Limón's Songwriting in Spanish course were invited to produce a video of the Spanish sensation's hit song, "La Música No Se Toca ".
