| Ronnie Burrage Receives University City High School Hall of Fame Honor University City native Ronnie Burrage is a renowned musician, drummer, composer, bandleader, and educator who has toured the world, performing and recording with jazz greats including Wayne Shorter, McCoy Tyner, Jaco Pastorius, Pat Metheny, the Marsalis Brothers, and a plethora of Jazz innovators. A faculty member at The Pennsylvania State University, Burrage will be returning to St. Louis from Wednesday, September 25 through Sunday, September 29th for a series of performances with his band. Band Burrage will feature original compositions from their new CD titled, "Heal". Tuesday September 24 Ronnie and band will be performing on the Fox 2 morning show with Tim Ezell. Ronnie is very proud to be inducted into the University City High School Hall of Fame being highlighted and featured in the University City homecoming parade is exciting for Mr. Burrage. Band Burrage will be performing Thursday Sept. 26 at Robbie's House of Jazz Friday & Saturday Sept. 27 & 28 at The Kranzberg Arts Center located in the Grand Center. Ronnie is passionate and enjoys giving back to the St. Louis community. This series of concerts are a follow up to the wonderfully successful events executed in February of this year. In February, Ronnie performed in Washington University's Jazz at the Holmes Series in an amazing concert with St. Louis legends and lifelong friends, Darryl Mixon, Ptah Williams, Henry Claude, Freddie Washington and Eric Slaughter. In addition to Jazz at Holmes they performed 4 concerts at the Norman Probstein Golf Center Forest Park. Ronnie also held a Drum Workshop for Mozingo Music. Mr Burrage and St. Louis all-stars were featured performing on the Tim Ezell Fox2 morning news show link shown above. Ronnie or "Professor B" as is his title at Penn State has toured the world several times performing, producing, and recording with almost every major jazz artist of notable stature.
