Everette Devan And Pat Kelley July 5th In The Blue Room

This Friday the Blue Room Jazz Club at the American Jazz Museum welcomes Everette DeVan and Pat Kelley. Everette DeVan grew up in Pueblo, Colorado where he attended the Colorado Conservatory of Music. He came to Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 18 and has made this his home ever since.He has been a featured Jazz Organist, well known locally, nationally and internationally for his long-standing contributions to the Jazz tradition. He was designated a State of Missouri Jazz Treasure by Governor Matt Blunt in 2006. He serves as the Chairman of the Board at The Greater Kansas City Mutual Musician's Foundation, the Entertainment Coordinator and a valued member of the board of directors at The Swope Parkway Comprehensive Health Center Jazz Outreach Program and is on staff at the Kansas City, Kansas Community College, teaching Music Theory and History and conducting classes dealing with the business side of the music industry.

Pat Kelley is a celebrated guitarist that has recorded ten albums while working on hundreds of sessions for records, television, commercials, and motion pictures. Pat has also written more than one hundred songs that have been commercially recorded and he has toured in more than thirty different countries performing in many prestigious venues. Pat currently holds a full time teaching position in the Studio/Jazz Guitar Department of the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music, where he has taught for the past fifteen years.

Kristen Ramsdale is a junior at the University of Kansas majoring in Illustration. She is serving as the Design Standards/Collateral intern in the marketing department at the American Jazz Museum. She designed this and several other posters to promote Blue Room performances.
