Dubbo Jazz Festival 2013

Dubbo is a thriving regional city and services a huge geographical area of one third of NSW. The city is ideally located is at the intersection of major routes for road, rail and air transport in the Central West of NSW, about 400 Km from Sydney. The city's population exceeds 41, 000, with a catchment population in excess of 120, 000. 2013 marks the 23rd Annual Dubbo Jazz Festival and the lineup of the performers selected by the Dubbo Jazz club are of its highest standards with both International and Australian Jazz Musicians. The club has invited a Sydney band, Viva the trio to perform at their Jazz Festival on the 9th 10th and 11th August.

Viva the trio includes Corinne Andrew who is one of Australia's leading multilingual singers; she commenced her career as a professional artist in Paris. Corinne has enjoyed a career as the principal singer and dancer in music spectaculars throughout most of Europe's major venues including: Folies Bergeres, Palais Des Congres, Monaco, Paradise Latin and Milan.

Corrine was also engaged as the starring act in cabaret performances throughout the Far East and South East Asia, including Japan, where she completed a three year stint at Cordon Bleu in Tokyo and the New Fujiya Hotel Atami, she was also contracted as a session singer for Toshiba EMI studios.

Corinne was invited to Australia as the principal feature singer and dancer in a show called "A Journey to Paradise" hosted by the Gold Coast Casino for a period of 18 months. Corinne is also a session singer for Nylon Studios, based in Cannes, New York and Sydney, her latest presentation of an Edith Piaf classic "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" is featured in the current Kraft TV commercial (Aust. & USA)

Corinne is supported by Viva the duo from Sydney with: accordion, bass (attached to the accordion) guitar and flute. The duo has an extensive history of performances with their Viva bands at International music events in: Thailand, South Vietnam, The Philippines, Guam, Taiwan and Japan. The duo also conducted promotional tours of France, Monaco, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and UK Europe in 2010.

In Australia they have performed at Jazz festivals including: The Gold Coast Jazz and blues Festival, Newcastle Jazz Festival, Morpeth Jazz Festival, Manly International Jazz Festival, Kiama Jazz and blues Festival, Illawarra Jazz Festival, Central Coast Jazz Leagues, Thredbo Jazz Festival, Bright Victoria festival, plus most Sydney's local Council's community events.

Corinne Andrew joined the duo in June 2011 with initial performances at The Factory Theatre in Sydney and a season at The Art Gallery of NSW for the Picasso exhibition. The trio performs at many Sydney venues with a rich tapestry of music, skillfully blending a mixture of: swing, Latin, Portuguese (Fado), French, Spanish, Argentine, Cuban, gypsy jazz, cabaret, classic show tunes and jazz standards. Their CD "September Morn" portrays a mixture of this music and has been released to the International market.
