Jazz Pianists Bob Seeley and John Cocuzzi to Perform on February 8

Renowned jazz pianists Bob Seeley and John Cocuzzi will perform in Savannah on Friday, February 8 at the Plantation Club at The Landings on Skidaway Island, 1 Cottonwood Lane. The piano showdown will benefit Park Place Outreach – Youth Emergency Shelter, a temporary shelter and outreach service that serves youth from Savannah and the surrounding area.

The event will kick off with a cash/member bar at 6 p.m., and dinner will follow at 7 p.m. The piano showdown will begin at 8:30 p.m. The evening will also include a silent auction from 6-8:15 p.m. Tickets are $125 each; for more information or to purchase tickets, donate auction items or reserve a table, please contact Marolyn Overton at 912-598-7358 or Dick Miller at 912-598-5049.

Cocuzzi, a well-respected American pianist, vibraphone player and drummer, specializes in blues, jazz, swing and boogie woogie. Seeley, considered one of America's greatest living boogie woogie pianists, has played in Carnegie Hall several times and most of the major venues throughout Europe.

Park Place Outreach – Youth Emergency Shelter, located at 514 E. Henry St., provides support for troubled children and teens from Savannah and the surrounding area. The shelter is open 24 hours a day to youth in crisis, adolescents who are homeless, young people who have been abused, runaway youth, or those who may be contemplating how to run away. Opened in 1984 as Marshlands Foundation, Inc.
