| Ben Harper And Charlie Musselwhite Set Special 'Get Up!' Album Release Show On January 29, 2013, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite will celebrate their "ferocious" (Rolling Stone) Stax Records collaboration 'Get Up!' with a special album release show at NYC's Irving Plaza. Today, TIME.com premieres a performance of "I Don't Believe a Word You Say" filmed at Harper's own Machine Shop studios in LA. The footage comes from "I'm In I'm Out And I'm Gone: The Making of Get Up!", the Danny Clinch-directed documentary that's included in album's deluxe version. Watch it at TIME.com: http://ti.me/ZDKKKp "Charlie and I have been looking to make this record for over 10 years and now that we've gotten to it, I can't wait to play it live, " Ben says. Harper, who just recently completed a tour of Australia including four sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House, calls 'Get Up!' ''the best thing I've ever done." Referring to the chemistry between the legendary blues harmonica master Musselwhite and himself, he said, "I had to earn my way to this chair. I'll make more records in the future but it will never be as good as this one with Charlie." write your comments about the article :: © 2012 Jazz News :: home page |
