Patrizia The Sultry Lady Of Jazz Knocks Them Dead

Patrizia the Sultry Lady of Jazz is one of San Diego's most popular Jazz Vocalist Best known for her heartfelt, sultry renditions of Jazz/Blues Standards and her musical creativity, took the stage at San Diego's own Tango Del Rey in Pacific Beach wearing a long black sequin dress with matching shoes and diamond studded jewelry and knocked them dead in a concert performance called "When Tonight Is Just A Memory." Patrizia started the evening coming out swinging "What A Lovely Way To Spend and Evening and thanking the audience for coming.

She immediately followed with an upbeat version of "A Foggy Day." She sang 16 selections by some of the greatest composers of our time. Ballads, swing, blues and Latin compositions as well as selections from her CD "ALL THE THINGS YOU ARE". The audience was so quiet, hanging on every word she sang with some guests mouthing the words to the songs they knew, while she was singing you could hear a pin drop. The first set was outstanding and the second set was even better. Towards the end of her last set after thanking her accompanying musicians whom she refers to as her outstanding sidemen, Sky Ladd-piano, Tim Miller-bass, Paul Tye-Guitar and Danny King-drums she concluded her performance with her version of "All The Way". The Master Of Ceremonies Jim Cardinale Hill presented her with a bouquet of beautiful flowers, she waved and left the stage thinking she was done for the evening but the crowd wasn't having it, a standing ovation pursued and Patrizia took the stage once again singing two additional selections, another standing ovation pursued she sang two more finally after the third standing ovation she sang one more song and the crowd still shouted for more, they would have kept her there all night. I am sure the lady was pleased with this concert, three standing ovations, great audience outstanding sidemen, perfect venue and good food. I decided to check this lady out after reading rave reviews of her previous Concert at Tango Del Rey in 2010 "A Jazz Story" I am glad I didn't miss this one the lady didn't disappoint. She has a beautiful vocal instrument if you haven't heard her you are missing out watch for her next gig or concert and go hear this lady. She also has an outstanding Cd called "ALL THE THINGS YOU ARE" which I purchased, love it I will listen to this masterpiece over and over again for years to come, love this lady's voice.

Thanks Tango Del Rey for arranging to finally get her back to San Diego. It was an outstanding evening of live jazz, and I for one am looking forward to many more.
