| Former Eagle Don Felder To Play U.N. South-South Awards In advance of his first solo album release in almost thirty years, Former Eagles lead guitarist Don Felder will come to NYC for two special performances next week. He'll play the U.N.-sponsored South-South Awards at the Waldorf Astoria on Sunday, Sepember 23, and sit in with the Les Paul Trio at The Iridium on Monday, September 24. Don's new solo album, 'Road to Forever, ' is out October 9th on Rocket Science Ventures. The South-South Awards honor heads of State and Government, U.N. Ambassadors and top U.N. officials. Other performers this year include Angelique Kidjo, Stephen Bishop, and Miri Ben-Ari. The Iridium is best known as Les Paul's second home, where the late guitarist performed weekly for twelve years until his passing in 2009. Today, the Les Paul Trio continues on in his honor, performing Monday nights with an array of guitar gods like Steve Miller, Jeff Beck, Mick Taylor and Robert Randolph.
