Tim "Too Slim" Langford ~ Broken Halo

"I've long been a fan of his Taildraggers and their rocking sound so this album comes to me as a surprise. Wow, had no idea Tim can get so mellow and intimate with his music. He sure is a fantastic guitarist and his acoustic slide on the opening cut proves that – "it's not about speed, it's all about tone, baby" as one of those amplifier stickers say. His tone is mindblowing, so fat and rich, sounding like Ry Cooder from his best moments. All other songs are cool as well, presented with some interesting and memorable lyrics that make repeated listening a must. A very good album." Przemek Draheim, DJ in Poland

"If you want music that you can listen to, while driving somewhere far, or when its raining outside, you should listen to Broken Halo, by Tim "Too Slim" Langford. His new solo album should not be missed. It is a treat to the listener's soul." John Zaccarini, Blues Rock Review

"As soon as l started to play track one"La Llorano' the hair on my neck stood up and l had shivers, such was the impact of this sparse masterly piece of acoustic music. Sublimely beautiful in it's production and stunning Dobro playing. Instantly it was easy to see that "Too Slim' was not just another slide player going through the "ABC's" of slide guitar but in fact a master of this style. The feel and moodiness of this cd shine through on all of "Too Slim's" compositions, each delivered with a laconic style that is warming if not fragile at times. This is endearing as we are taken on a journey exploring stories, thoughts and ramblings of one Tim Langford. He certainly is a master of his craft even without his Taildraggers. When it comes to playing acoustic Dobro slide Blues assisted with some very choice Harp you really don't get much better than this, an album of 11 standout tracks each delivering on all levels." Peter Merrett, PBS106.7, Melbourne, Australia

Too Slim and the Taildraggers are doing a USO tour for the troops in the Middle East August, 22-30.
