Cruisin’ New Orleans Car Show

Today the Music Business Institute announced the addition of a new feature; Cruisin' New Orleans as part of Cutting Edge's NOLA Downtown Music and Arts Festival.

The Cruisin' New Orleans Specialty Car Show is a celebration of antique, classic and hot rod vehicles showcased in the heart of New Orleans' Downtown Development District at Historic Gallier Hall and Lafayette Square during the music festival which takes place on Friday, September 28 and Saturday, September 29, 2012 during the NOLA Downtown Music and Arts Festival.

In New Orleans, music is more than business; it's also a cultural expression and what better way to compliment great music than with hot cars! The NOLA Downtown Music and Arts Festival features free musical performances from local, national, and international acts from places as far as Canada, London, and Guadeloupe featuring various genre of music.

The historical setting of Lafayette Square is the perfect place for the display of such fine antique vehicles. Presented by Cutting Edge Music Business Institute, Sylvain Solutions, and Verges Vintage Vehicles, LLC; Cruisin' New Orleans is certain to develop into one of New Orleans' premiere events.

Car enthusiasts, collectors, and dealers are encouraged to submit their cars for participation into the event. Awards and prizes will be given to the top vehicle in several categories. Cruisin' New Orleans Car Show is open to 25-years-old and older vehicles. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older with proof of insurance in order to participate.

This event is part of 20th Annual Cutting Edge CE (formerly the Cutting Edge Music Business Conference) which brings together music industry personnel from across the country; including representatives from ASCAP, BMI, ReverbNation, Music Connection, eOne Music, and many others.

The Conference has secured Vans Warped Tours' Kevin Lyman and Michael Koch of Entertainment One US as this year's keynote speakers. Mr. Lyman is best known as the producer and creator of the hugely successful Vans Warped Tour, the longest running traveling music and extreme sports festival in the world today while Koch's eOne Music is the largest independent record company in the United States.

Started in 1993 as a conference dedicated to educating musicians and music professionals about the latest trends in the music industry, it has evolved into entertainment workshops; the areas of interest covered are the Cutting Edge Business Sessions, Cutting Edge Entertainment Law Seminar, and Cutting Edge Film Workshop. The sessions also includes the NewWorks Showcase for new and emerging artists seeking special exposure to record executives, booking agents, managers and the media.

In addition to the musical acts on the main stages at the festival grounds in Lafayette Square, other performance venues include Gallier Hall, Jazz Live at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Ogden Museum, Circle Bar, Howlin Wolf, Irvin Mayfield I Club, Mike's on The Avenue, Rotunda, The Wine Bistro, Twist Cocktail Bar, and others with showcases which begins as early as Thursday, September 27, 2012.
