| Denny Brown Releases '4th Of July' California based singer/songwriter Denny Brown and his label Avenue Communications announce the release of his "Fourth Of July" EP, featuring an all-star band including Booker T. Jones on organ and piano and David Grissom on guitar (John Mellencamp, Buddy Guy). Also on-board are acclaimed audio engineers Bill Halverson (Neil Young, Eric Clapton) and Tom Flye (Sammy Hagar, Jerry Garcia). The EP includes the title track plus three more originals, "On The Esplanade, " "Gypsy Lane, " and "Can't Go Home." Brown's roots rock sound was recently compared to John Mellencamp, Bob Seger, and John Fogerty. Denny Brown and Avenue Communications have retained the services of David Bean Artist Management at BeanBag1.com and subsidiary Artist Airplay Advisors, led by VP of Promotion J. P. Mosoff, for management and promotion. The single was sent to Triple A and Americana radio stations throughout the U.S. in June and the first station to begin playing "Fourth Of July" was WQTI (106.1 The Path), Tallahassee, Florida, during the week of June 11. Avenue Communications plans for two more full-length albums to follow the "4th Of July" EP, the first scheduled for Fall 2012 and another in Spring 2013. Two previous albums, "Crossing Through" (2009) and "Coming On Home" (2012), are already in release. Avenue Communications is available for licensing and distribution of the entire catalog. BeanBag1.com is located in Monterey, CA, and is home to David Bean Management and Artist Airplay Advisors radio promotion, which have achieved success over the past four years placing unsigned indie bands on broadcast, internet, and satellite radio, as well as into national CD distribution. Current radio promotion clients include The Escape Club, Norton Buffalo with George Kahumoku Jr., Casey Frazier, Sarah Swanson, Tina Vero, Feverwalk, and jazz/blues/rock chanteuse Ann Kelly produced by Mark Ross (two-time Emmy-winning composer). write your comments about the article :: © 2012 Jazz News :: home page |
