Detroit's Largest Jazz, Blues and Gospel Festival Returns

LaToya Turrentine and Favor's Voice is pleased to announce their performance at the 2012 Jazzin' on Jefferson Festival Saturday, June 15, 2012 at 12pm on Historic Jefferson Avenue in Downtown Detroit, Michigan.

The Jefferson East Business Administration presents their annual summer outdoor jazz festival with 30 different jazz acts, late night pop-up jazz joints in empty storefronts, neo soul, gospel artists, food, neighborhood waterfront tours and much more. Beginning in 2004, Jazzin' on Jefferson has become Detroit's largest jazz and blues festival and has recently introduced a gospel segment.

Favor's Voice is a group of singers, musicians and entrepreneurs under the leadership of singer, song writer, LaToya M. Turrentine. Founded in 2009, this team joined forces in an effort to bring unity among the community, local artists and musicians, and create a platform for personal empowerment through music and ministry.

With the release of their Debut Album "I Am Favor's Voice" in July 2011, this group has chosen to be the voice of favor to this generation. Their mission is to spread the benefits of Christ's love to the hurt and broken. Within the first year of the Album's release, this group has received 2 awards, donated to many charities, hosted community events and created a platform for other up and coming artists in the Metro Detroit area.

Favor's Voice has shared the stage with such names as Kierra "Ki Ki" Sheard and BRL, Tim Bowman & Tim Bowman Jr, Evelyn Turrentine Agee, Pastor Marvin Sapp, Micah Stampley, Pastor Tim Rogers and The Fellas, The Canton Spirituals, Lisa Page Brooks, Karen Clark Sheard, Dorinda Clark Cole, and Ernest Pugh, just to name a few.

With the city of Detroit being shown in such a poor light it is important to showcase these up and coming young adults as they seek to set the standard in ministry and in their personal and professional lives. These dynamic young people are on a mission, and they believe that with God all things are possible!
