| David Helbock plays infront of more than 15000 people in Latinamerica  David Helbock, a 28 year old Austrian jazz piano player and prize winner at the2007 & 2010 Montreux jazz piano solo competition and also the Audience Prize. Last year he was awarded the "Outstanding Artist Award 2011" from the state of Austria, one of the biggest prizes you can get in Austria. He has released over 10 CDs as a leader, his newest "Solo paino" CD will be released on the German label Traumton in September 2012. In 2009 David Helbock's compositional project"Personal Realbook" where he wrote one piece every day for a whole year and he published over 600 pages of music.At the beginning of this year David Helbock was lucky to play at two of the biggest jazz festivals in Latin America - "Providencia Jazzfestival" Santiago de Chile in January 2012 (Frick/Helbock Duo:David Helbock - Piano, Electronics, Percussion, Simon Frick - Violin, E-Violin, Electronics) and the "Eurojazzfestival" in Mexico City in March 2012 with the "David Helbock Trio" (David Helbock - Piano, Synth, Raphael Preuschl - Bassukulele, Herbert Pirker - Drums). write your comments about the article :: © 2012 Jazz News :: home page |
