| Jason Moran at The Nyack Library Friday, June 15, 2012 Pianist and composer Jason Moran is one of the most critically acclaimed and uncompromising voices in jazz, and, increasingly, a respected representative as well. Moran was the 2011 Downbeat Critic's Poll winner for Best Jazz Artist, Best Jazz Album, and Pianist of the Year. He became a McArthur fellow in 2010, and in 2011 was named the Kennedy Center's artistic adviser for jazz. Jason Moran is a superb artist with something for everyone. This is a rare opportunity to hear one of modern jazz's leading innovators, exploring his own evolution in an intimate, relaxed setting - Not to be missed! All concerts are held on Friday nights at 7:30 pm in the Carnegie Rooom at the Nyack Library - 59 South Broadway, Nyack, NY. write your comments about the article :: © 2012 Jazz News :: home page |
