| Miles & Coltrane: Blue at Piccolo Spoleto Festival 2012 On Q Productions presents Miles & Coltrane: Blue(.), by Concrete Generation at Piccolo Spoleto Festival, May 27 through June 5 at the Footlight Players Theatre located at 20 Queen Street in Charleston, SC. This work tells the story of two of the most influential and controversial figures in jazz: Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Featuring award winning poets, musicians, dancers, and actors; this show weaves together all artistic mediums, taking us on a journey through the artists' lives and the legacies they left behind. This production features the work of Concrete Generation, God City, and The Stephen Gordon Quintet. Miles & Coltrane: Blue(.) is "an intriguing production which evoked the spirits of Miles and Coltrane's work while portraying them as wildly different characters, " says Euan Andrews of Edinburgh Guide. "Miles (is) the aloof scene-stealer, fiercely proud of his heritage, with Coltrane forever in search of his own inner salvation, " explains Andrews.
