The 19th Istanbul Jazz Festival organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) under the sponsorship of Garanti Bank will be held between 3-19 July! The 19th Istanbul Jazz Festival will again bring the star map of jazz to Istanbul in July with 50 concerts and nearly 300 local and international artists, in more than 20 different venues. The highlight of this year's festival will be the world premiere of The Istanbul Project by Marcus Miller and friends, bringing together prominent Turkish musicians with world stars on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. Keith Jarrett, the most eminent jazz pianist alive, will perform in Istanbul for the first time since 1996 with Gary Peacock on the acoustic bass and Jack deJohnette on the drums.
