| 10th Annual "YAZZY: Youth Celebrating Jazz" Concert Students and faculty of the Theatre of the Performing Arts in Shreveport will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Yazzy (Youth Celebrating Jazz) during the 2012 Yazzy Youth Celebrating Jazz concert on Friday, April 20, 2012, 7:00 pm, at The Riverview Theatre, 600 Clyde Fant Parkway, in downtown Shreveport. This year's theme is "Soulsville USA: A Snapshot of Memphis Music." Guest artists include Michael Ward, jazz violinist from New Orleans, LA and Tom Browne, jazz trumpeter from Garner, NC. Jazz musician Dorsey Summerfield, Jr. serves as Yazzy Project Coordinator for this event. The Yazzy Youth Celebrating Jazz Concert is designed to showcase local talented youth in collaboration with renowned professional artists during the month of April, which is Jazz Appreciation Month.
