Stevie Hawkins Receives Two Indie Music Channel Awards Nominations

Stevie Hawkins travels to Hollywood again after being nominated in the Indie Music Channel Awards in two blues categories for "Best Male Blues Artist" and "Best Blues Live Performance". This is his second awards nomination in less than three months. The two nominations were determined by a panel of music industry judges, and based upon the song written by Charlotte Hannon and Stevie Hawkins titled "Everything Is Subject To Change".

The host venue will be the Foundation Room at the House Of Blues on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. The IMC awards ceremony will be April 29, 2012 at 7:00 PM. Immediately following the awards, several of the outstanding artists of the Indie Music Channel will showcase their talents, including performances by: Viktoria Tocca, Diamante, Noize from the Basement, SharBaby & the Rhythm Blues Band, Amanda Morgan, Aaron G and others. Music, Film and Television industry leaders will be attending the event.

Indie Music Channel founder Christopher Ewing says, "Indie Music Channel proudly congratulates all of the artists who submitted such outstanding music and videos. Indie Music Channel features some of the BEST independent singers and bands from around the world and we proudly recognize their outstanding talents by presenting the 1st Annual Indie Music Channel Awards!" Ewing says about the awards venue, "Foundation Room" is an exclusive, "Members Only", area at the House of the Blues and the Indie Music Channel is extremely proud to host this event at this legendary venue!"

Hawkins was recently nominated in the 2012 Artists In Music Awards held February 10th in Hollywood, where he won "Best Jazz Artist", and was nominated as "Best Blues Artist". Hawkins says, "Congratulations go out to the artists who have been nominated for the Indie Music Channel Awards. There are literally thousands of great independent artists on the Indie Music Channel website, and to have been nominated from among them is quite a surprise. I am grateful to God for the blessing and honor of being nominated for awards again this year. This is very exciting news and times. The Indie Music Channel and its founder Christopher Ewing are providing a medium for independent artists to advance, to be recognized, not only by the music industry, yet, to help us grow an international fan base. Thanks to Mr. Ewing for his support of independent artists globally, and for the honor of the nominations in the IMC awards."

Emmy Award winning TV host, actor & model, Christopher Ewing, created the Indie Music Channel. "I created The Indie Music Channel and 'The Radio Cafe' radio show because I have always felt that there needed to be more support for local, Indie music. There are a lot of really talented singers and bands out here whose music isn't getting enough radio play, if at all, mostly because they aren't signed to a big record deal with a major label. Whether these singers or bands have a record deal or not, they still have AWESOME music that deserves to be heard on the radio and now, through the Indie Music Channel, there is an outlet for them to get their music played."
