| The Essence Of Melvin Taylor Melvin Taylor working with his new management team is enjoying a surge of creativity in composing and recording over the past twenty four (24) months. In November 2010 he released, "Beyond the Burning Guitar", a double CD featuring twenty three (23) original instrumental songs, plus Melvin's novel adaptation of Beethoven's Fifth. Melvin's masterful guitar skills incorporate jazz and blues, as well as surprising Latin and classical pieces. Melvin's next album is the soon to be released, "Sweet Taste of Guitar", is a variety of original compositions of jazz and blues. What makes this ten (10) song CD so special is that Melvin composed, arranged, produced and played all of the instruments on the recording. These CD's are available on iTunes and other digital music sites. As part of Melvin's comeback on the jazz and blues scene, he has performed twice at Sundance Film Festival, hit the Main Stage at Telluride Jazz Festival followed by an evening performance at the Sheridan Opera House at the Telluride Jazz Festival. Audiences in the Ukraine were thrilled when the US Embassy sponsored a five (5) city tour featuring Melvin and his band. One of the highlights of the tour included Melvin conducting a Master Class in jazz guitar at the Conservatory of Music in Kiev. Fans in Denmark were happy to host Melvin once again, as he performed at the Danish Jazz Festival, one of their many summer festivals celebrating outdoor jazz and rock music. Melvin is excited to unveil a new music video during the Memorial Holiday 2012! This project is truly a unique and touching salute to our nation at this time in history.
