Joseph Leo Bwarie Brings Jazz To SXSW

Rising jazz star and nationally-acclaimed performer Joseph Leo Bwarie will be playing a live 40 minute set with songs from his smash-hit debut album, "Nothin' But Love, " at SXSW. Breaking through the sounds of the traditional genres showcased at SXSW, Bwarie is one of the few artists bringing jazz to the incredible music festival taking place this week.

His performance will feature a ten piece band with internationally renowned musicians from across the country including keyboardist Rick Krive of Boca Raton, FL, Henry Brun of San Antonio, and bass and percussionists from Austin, San Antonio, New York and Puerto Rico.

In 2011, Bwarie emerged as a solo artist with his debut album, produced and arranged by original Four Seasons member and Billboard hit-maker Charles Calello (renowned arranger for Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Laura Nyro and Frankie Valli). When iTunes placed "Nothin' But Love" as "New and Noteworthy" Bwarie's pop-jazz crossover quickly climbed into the top 10 iTunes Jazz chart. Known for his fresh take on the swingin' Capitol Records "sound" Bwarie continues to push the envelope with his song selection, creating new modern classics that appeal to all ages.
