| Hendrik Meurkens Quartet at The Kitano Hendrik Meurkens CD Release Event "Live at Bird's Eye" (ZOHO 201114) at The Kitano on Wed., Feb. 22nd (Sets at 8 & 10PM). This is part two of the CD - Release for ' Live at Bird's Eye ' by the Samba Jazz Quartet. 'Live at Bird's Eye' reached # 8 on the Jazzweek Jazz Chart and we will be playing new tunes from the album. The CD features the Quartet in a live recording from the Bird's Eye Club in Basel, Switzerland. There will be lots of vibes playing on the two gigs because that's what's on the CD plus I will be playing vibes with the Lionel Hampton Orchestra the following weekend and I have to get IN SHAPE.........
