| The 77's Unplugged Concert on March 18 in Lancaster, PA. Mike Roe and David Leonhardt perform together in this rare and special concert as 'The 77s Unplugged' in downtown Lancaster on March 18, at 7pm. They will perform songs from "Sticks And Stones" and their extensive 77's catalog in commemoration of a re-release of their 1987 hit album, Sticks and Stones, available from Lo-Fidelity Records and at the concert. This concert is taking place In the Community Room above Prince Street Cafe (19 N. Prince Street Lancaster, PA). Tickets can be purchased online (www.iheartlancity.com) for $10 in advance and $15 at the door. This concert will sell out. Our venue is on the 3rd floor and not Wheelchair Accessible. An Island Records radio advertisement in 1987 proclaimed, "The 77's will take you on a journey through the past, present, and future of rock & roll" at the same time that 'Beverly Hills 90210' started featuring their song, 'MT' and a favorable Rolling Stone Review said 'Their new release explores the terrain between rollicking rock and lugubrious blues, using memorable hooks, quirky guitars and heady lyrics.' Their American Blues-Influenced Rock and Roll has remained a consistent influence on music (Reggae Rock Group 311 pirated some lines) and to their dedicated fans. "It's been nearly 22 years since the release of "Sticks And Stones" and it will be exciting to have the album available again and celebrate the re-release with the fans who have loved it and supported us for all these years." - Mike Roe write your comments about the article :: © 2012 Jazz News :: home page |
