DK Ibomeka Releases His latest CD Of Original Material

New York City-based recording artist and composer, DK Ibomeka is releasing his third remarkable CD, Ocean at Toronto's favourite musical performance venue, "Hugh's Room" on Wednesday, Feb. 8th.

The new, soulful, independent recording (Nwabo Productions) is comprised entirely of original material, written by DK in collaboration with some of the most intriguing and talented musical artists on the scene today, including vocalist Lori Cullen, guitarist Kevin Breit (of the Norah Jones group), Aaron Davis (of the Holly Cole group), pianist Michael Shand, Justin Abedin ( of the award-winning Jacksoul ) and bassist / producer George Koller.

Performers on the CD include Michael Shand on piano/Fender Rhodes, George Koller on bass, Rob Piltch on guitar and Ben Wittman on drums and percussion.

Ocean blurs the lines of artistic expression, as it includes "Spoken Word" fictional works by DK that correspond to the original compositions on the CD - including an audio short story written by DK and read by the talented multiple award-winning vocalist and actor, Jackie Richardson.

In addition, DK Ibomeka has lovingly dedicated Ocean to his late friend and mentor, Haydain Neale of "Jacksoul" - with whom he collaborated extensively on his previous projects.

"HUGH'S ROOM" is located in Toronto at 2261 Dundas St., West. Full dinner menu is available and tickets are $17.00 in advance. For reservations (highly recommended) please call 416-531-6604 or go to http://www.hughsroom.com.
