| Tomer Bar Trio releases "Local Groove" to U.S. and Canada Israeli jazz pianist Tomer Bar along with bassist, Uri Kutner and drummer, Ofri Nehemya release their CD ("Local Groove") to the United States and Canada terrirories. 17 year-old wunderkind Tomer Bar has joined the Spectra Jazz label for distribution of his fourth CD "Local Groove". The project will undergo distribution in both the United States and Canadian territories. Tomer Bar of Tel Aviv, Israel shows a versatility as vocalist (singing primarily in Hebrew) and prodigious pianist/composer for various genres that include Jazz, Classical, Popular and Country music. He has been featured twice at the Israeli Festival (2007, 2010), The Tel Aviv Festival (2009) and the Givataim Festival (2011). The CD is his first to gain distribution outside of the Israeli region, demonstrating a varied combination of melodies supported by contemporary, bop, Latin, and classical elements. The trio is completed by bassist, Uri Kutner (18) and drummer, Ofri Nehemya (18). Spectra Jazz digital release - January 3, 2012. Street date TBA.
