Tucson's 2nd Saturdays in January

The sounds of award winning jazz and a "spot on" Beatles tribute will drift over Downtown Tucson for the popular 2nd Saturdays event scheduled from 4-9pm, January 14th. The Tucson Jazz Institute's Ellington Band, winner of the national Ellington Big Band competition last year, will appear for free at the Fox Theatre from 7-9pm .

2nd Saturdays has launched its second free outdoor stage located on 5th Avenue, just south of Congress Street. It will feature jazz and R&B acts every month, led by nationally recognized jazz artist Kevin Hamilton . The Scott Avenue Stage will continue to feature rock, folk and Cajun bands, also for free, starting at 4pm to take advantage of the weather. The ultimate Beatles band, the Fab Four, just wrapping a PBS filmed concert, will appear in a paid show at the Rialto Theatre. Additional music acts will line the street and fill venues from Hotel Congress to the Fox Theatre.
