Joe Alterman-piano

Joe Alterman is a jazz pianist whose playing is a joyous throwback to the keyboard stylists of the 1950s. Only twenty-two years old, Alterman was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been playing piano since the age of five. As a student at New York University, where Joe is a recent graduate, Joe had the opportunity to study with greats including Don Friedman, Brian Lynch, John Scofield, Billy Drummond, Mike Richmond, Kenny Werner, Ron McClure, Jean Michel-Pilc, and Martin Wind.

Benny Benack-Trumpet

Trumpeter Benny Benack is currently living in New York City, studying at the Manhattan School of Music on a full tuition scholarship for Jazz Trumpet. He has had the opportunity to study privately with such incredible trumpet artists as Sean Jones, Laurie Frink, Terell Stafford, Marcus Printup, and Jim Rotondi just to name a few. Ben has been a member of the Gibson-Baldwin GRAMMY Jazz Ensemble in 2008 and 2009, being able to perform alongside Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Joe Lovano, Terence Blanchard, and Christian Scott. Benny played in the Vail Jazz Festival in summer of 2008 as a member of the prestigious Vail Jazz Workshop. Benny also performed in the Telluride Jazz Festival in the summer of 2009 as a member of the Telluride Jazz All- Stars. Benny is a 2009 silver award winner of NFAA/Young Arts, which took him to Miami and NYC. Spring 2009 has brought participation in the Jazz Band of America, and the Pennsylvania All-State Jazz Band. In summer of 2009, Benny toured with the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, who performed with Wynton Marsalis at the Monterey Jazz Festival. Benny is also an accomplished jazz pianist & singer, having sang and performed with his fatherʼs big band from the age of 9.

Steven Frieder-Saxophone

Steven Frieder (b. December 2, 1990) is an American Jazz Saxophonist who's most prominent work is with the Bob Meyer Quartet (aka the Youth Group) with Luke Franco, and Motoki Mihara. He has studied with the likes of George Garzone, Steve Wilson, and Jon Irabagon. Frieder recently attended Manhattan School of Music for two years and is currently enrolled in the New School for Jazz and Contemporary music.
Frieder has performed with groups at established venues such as, The Falcon Arts Center (Marlboro, NY), The Bean Runner Cafe (Peekskill, NY) and Smalls Jazz Club in NYC. He also led a quintet that performed at the Peekskill Jazz Festival on the same bill as Lou Donaldson. Frieder has led various groups that have gigged all around the tri-state area.

Alex Raderman-Drums

Alex Raderman, New York based drummer and percussionist, is a passionate and versatile musician working mainly in the jazz idiom, but never afraid to branch out into various other styles of music. Born in Philadelphia, Alex credits Art Blakey and "Philly" Joe Jones as some of his earliest influences. He's studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and is currently pursuing a master's degree at New York University where he has studied with Dafnis Prieto and Billy Drummond. He's performed with Brian Lynch, Ralph Lalama, Houston Person, Kenny Werner, Fransisco Mela, and Joe Lovano, to name a few.
