Three Gospel Concerts in Montreal's Quartier des spectacles This Christmas

Montreal's own Jireh Gospel Choir and the Montreal Gospel Choir, both directed by Carol Bernard, are set to thrill audiences with 3 concerts in the Quartier des spectacles on December 11 and 18, 2011. For Jireh Gospel Choir, the event is also a celebration of 15 years of existence and the launch of a new CD! For the Montreal Gospel Choir, it's the effervescence of their very first Christmas concert.

Following the success of shows in Canada, France, the United States, Switzerland, and Italy, Jireh Gospel Choir will continue to share its passion for gospel at Club Soda on December 11 at 7pm.

Known for its excellent vocal talent and outstanding musicians, the Jireh Gospel Choir will proudly celebrate 15 years! After collaborating with Mario Pelchat on the platinum album, "Noël avec Jireh Gospel Choir, " and performing with the Cirque du Soleil at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal before an audience of more than 200, 000 festival-goers, Jireh Gospel Choir now announces the release of its new album. The CD, available on iTunes today, will be officially launched at the concert at Club Soda on December 11th. On this special occasion the Montreal Gospel Choir will be joining Jireh to perform the song they recorded together.

One week later, the Montreal Gospel Choir will burst on the scene with its debut concert, The First Noël. Last September, the highly experienced Carol Bernard brought together 60 singers of diverse cultures, backgrounds and age groups, who are creating an incredibly powerful and beautifully harmonious sound in a remarkably short time. The Montreal Gospel Choir will perform on December 18, 2011 at the beautiful Church of St. John The Evangelist (the "Red Roof Church"). An amazing team of singers and musicians will put their heart and soul into making this an unforgettable and authentic gospel experience! There will be 2 shows, at 4pm and 8pm.

The high energy and enthusiasm of both Jireh Gospel Choir and the Montreal Gospel Choir are contagious. So get ready to clap your hands and get up on your feet to dance with them! Two passionate, talented, and joyous groups await you.
