| Manchester Orchestra to play the House of Blues Manchester Orchestra have announced plans for a tour in support of their new album, Simple Math. The indie rockers will make their way to Massachusetts and play Boston's House of Blues on Saturday, November 12. Joining them will be special guest The Dear Hunter and openers White Denim. Simple Math, Manchester Orchestra's third studio effort, was released in May. The Atlanta rockers recorded the album with producer Dan Hannon, who also produced the band's first album (2006′s I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child) and co-produced their second (2009′s Mean Everything to Nothing). The video for lead single "Simple Math", which is streaming below, garnered two MTV Video Music Award nominations in the categories of "Best Special Effects" and "Best Editing". "The songs on this record are stories, " explained lead singer Andy Hull in a press release, "but more directed and personal. In many ways, it can be called a dueling conversation between my wife, God and myself." Led by frontman Casey Crescenzo, Boston's The Dear Hunter are touring in support of their latest release, The Color Spectrum. The project was released in two formats: an epic nine-EP collection and a standard 11-track album comprised of select songs from the EP collection. The Color Spectrum consists of songs inspired by the colors of the spectrum, specifically red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, with white and black being included as bookends.
