SRI Records, the Los Angeles based indie label, is proud to announce the signing of the wonderfully talented, journeyman, singer/songwriter, Bryant Sterling. "I feel that Bryant is a fit for SRI Records – he fits in perfectly with our roster of great rockers and it will be a pleasure to bring his music to the world", said label head Shelly Liebowitz. Sterling is not a new-comer by any means. He has been around and paid his dues having worked with the top artists in the rock world and he joins SRI following a stint with Warner Brothers. "As a producer myself, I know talent and it's about time that Bryant becomes the recognized talent that he is. I know we can make that happen at SRI and since we only have the best on our label Bryant Sterling is a natural fit", Liebowitz added. Bryant Sterling's first single and video on SRI Records is called "Times Are Hard" (youtu.be/y33i5uh1b4A), a song about how so many Americans are struggling in our current economy. This song and video will be featured on our website srirecords.com and all of our digital outlets including iTunes and Amazon.com. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the single and video will go to Feeding America (feedingamerica.org). Bryant's first album for SRI Records will be released digitally next week and we currently plan to release it on CDs before the end of the year. The artist formally known as Dennis Lee Bryant first gained national attention with his first group U.S. Apple Corps, one of the pioneers of Christian Rock. His ground breaking effort propelled the band to an unprecedented first album success that topped the Gavin list charts for a solid 6 months. It was then that Billboard, Cashbox and Record Word Magazines all featured the band's sensational success, with Billboard describing Sterling's voice as "The Voice That Can Do It All – no hype, just FACT." Having matured he redefined himself as, Bryant Sterling and he went on to work with some of the biggest names in the industry, including John Madera, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Three Dog Night (Chuck Negron), Tommy Shaw (STYX), Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Hall & Oates, Jeff Porcaro (TOTO), Pat Mastelotto (Mr. Mister), Kim Bullard (Crosby Stills & Nash), Doc Severinsen and his NBC Tonight Show Band, Tom Scott (SAX for SNL Band & The Blues Brothers), The Allman Brothers, Blood Sweat and Tears, Janis Joplin, Lorenzo Lamas, and many more.
