| Quebec Tango Group Captivates Buenos Aires Audience Quebec group Quetango became, last August 19th, the first Canadian band to ever play at well-known Buenos Aires Tango Festival. Quetango's performance won over the Argentine audience before being hailed with a standing ovation. The concert was broadcasted live in Buenos Aires on Radio 2x4, the city's tango broadcaster. The quartet, gathering Argentinian cellist Daniel Finzi, guitarist Jonathan Hains, double-bassist Frédéric Vermette and percussionist Simon Boudreault, played original compositions combining tango, jazz and a hint of progressive rock. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Jazz News :: home page |
