Blue October to play Boston’s House of Blues

Blue October have revealed plans for a fall tour that will bring them to Massachusetts in October. The band will play Boston's House of Blues on Monday, October 17.

The Texas-based rockers will be touring in support of their latest album, Any Man In America. The album, which was released on lead singer Justin Furstenfeld's own UP/DOWN Records, debuted at #8 on the Billboard Top 200, their highest Billboard chart debut of their career. Any Man In America is the follow up to 2009′s Approaching Normal and is Blue October's sixth studio album overall. The album was produced by Furstenfeld (who also produced the band's platinum breakthrough album Foiled), in association with Tim Palmer (Robert Plant, Pearl Jam). The video for lead single "The Chills" is streaming below.

Any Man in America was inspired by Furstenfeld's divorce and custody battle in 2008. "I was separated at the time, and my daughter was in Nebraska while I moved back to Texas alone, " he explained in a press release. "I decided to document everything. If I messed up along the way, I'd tell that too. We called the album my 'Audio Journal' as I began writing. I didn't want the music to just be about me though. I wanted it to help other people in who might be going through the same thing."
