The Iridium Honors Les Paul With Free Memorial Concerts

The Iridium and The Les Paul Foundation will honor the anniversary of Les Paul's passing this year with free performances by the Les Paul Trio and special guests August 12 at 8 & 10pm.

In addition, The Iridium will broadcast a never-before-seen tribute to Les Paul filmed live at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium in 2009 on their Livestream Channel (http://www.livestream.com/iridiumlive) August 14 at 8pm. The concert features performances by Charlie Daniels, Steve Cropper, Zakk Wylde, Steve Miller, and more.

It would be difficult to overstate Les Paul's impact on the shape of popular music. As both an artist and inventor, he was a true pioneer whose trailblazing innovation with the electric guitar and multi-track recording forever altered the music industry. Every Monday night, The Iridium celebrates his profound impact on guitarists everywhere by inviting "Best of Breed" players from all genres to join his trio for their trademark Les Paul Mondays series. The club donates 20% of the door to The Les Paul Foundation, which seeks to honor his legacy by supporting music education, engineering and innovation.
