Paris by Night at Sydney Fribge Festival

Viva the band from Sydney Australia with Corinne Andrew will be appearing at one of Sydney's major events "Paris by Night" on the 17th September 2011 as part of The Sydney Fringe Festival. The venue will be the Factory Theatre at Marrickville, a venue where the trio performed in June to a sell-out performance of the French Cabaret and Circus with more than 600 people attending. Sydney's leading newspaper, The Sydney Morning Herald chose French Cabaret and Circus as "the best of stage" for June 2011

Corinne studied dancing and singing in Paris and started her professional career as the principal singer and dancer in music spectaculars throughout most of Europe's major venues including: Folies Bergeres, Palais Des Congres, Monaco and Paradise Latin

Corrine was also engaged as the starring act in French cabaret performances throughout the Far East and South East Asia including Japan where she completed a three year stint at Cordon Bleu in Tokyo and the New Fujiya Hotel Atami, she was also contracted as a session singer for Toshiba EMI studios.

Corinne was also invited to Australia as the principal feature singer and dancer in a show called "A Journey to Paradise" at the Gold Coast Casino in Queensland for a period of 18 months.

Corinne and Viva's performances gives the listener the benefit of listening to International music that has been developed by Corinne and Viva the duo's lifelong experiences and overseas music engagements, the music accompaniment on accordion, bass, guitar and flute is authentic and the listener could easily imagine themselves to be in Paris listening to a local band performing popular jazz tunes of the ilk of Django Reinhardt and Sidney Bechet plus a smattering of romantic Paris cafe' tunes.
