Tamika Nicole’s “Revival” Concert Series Returns on June 18, 2011

On Saturday, June 18, 2011 Tamika Nicole will be bringing back her "Revival" Concert Series to San Leandro. "The Revival" is a concert series that highlights a new movement of music that encompasses Rock & Roll, Gospel, and Soul music. Tamika will be performing music from her latest release "The Art of Letting Go" as well as highlighting other up and coming artists.

The show begins at 8:00pm at The Englander at 101 Parrott Street, San Leandro, CA. Afro-Pop Artist Jacques Ibula will also appear as a special guest. Tickets are $12.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door. This event is also a fundraiser for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. About Tamika Nicole

Tamika Nicole is capturing the hearts of music enthusiasts with her latest release "The Art of Letting Go". A 2010 First Round Grammy Nominee, she is carving a niche market for independent artists in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tamika's newest project, "The Art of Letting Go", has been burning up independent music charts in Europe and is a favorite amongst Internet Bloggers and Music Enthusiasts all over the world.

Tamika Nicole, the Oakland, California native, began her music career in Open Mics, Jazz Jam Sessions, and Musicals while being gainfully employed as an Educator. Sitting in with such notables as Dr. Dee Spencer, Tamika began forging a solo career by creating her own unique sound fusing Funk, Rock, Blues, and Gospel. In 2001, she released her first project "My Message". In 2009, she independently released "The Art of Letting Go" with production from Jamie Hawkins (Tramaine Hawkins, Walter Hawkins, Donnell Jones) and Jimi Fischer(The Temptations, Steve Winwood, Aretha Franklin).

Notable venues Tamika has performed at include Yoshi's, Mezzanine in San Francisco, Pete Escovedo's Latin Jazz Club, as well as Grammy events, and many other festivals. Her stage credits include performance in the Mountain Play's 2007 Production of "Hair" and The Woodminster Theater's 2007 Production "The Wizard of Oz".
