Kenny Loggins to Perform at Arcada Theatre in St. Charles

Known best for his 1980s movie theme song hits such as "Danger Zone" for "Top Gun, " "Footloose" for the movie of the same title, and "I'm Alright" for "Caddyshack, " Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins will perform 8 p.m. June 3 at the Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St., in downtown St. Charles.

In 1980, Loggins won a Grammy for best male pop vocal for the song "This Is It, " and co-wrote the 1979 Grammy-winning song of the year "What A Fool Believes" with Michael McDonald. Loggins' albums include Vox Humana, Back to Avalon, and Leap of Faith, which features the song "Conviction of the Heart, " which Al Gore called "the unofficial anthem of the environmental movement."

He has also recorded CDs for children, including Return To Pooh Corner and More Songs From Pooh Corner. In 2005, Loggins reunited with his former musical partner Jim Messina and they hit the road with their Sittin' In Again tour in 2009.

Arcada owner Ron Onesti said in press release that Loggins continues to grow and take on new challenges.

"Not only is he an introspective songwriter and a diverse, well-rounded musician, he also has an amazing range of collaborations in jazz, rock and pop—and his conviction genuinely connects with his audiences at his live shows."
