The Miles Davis Festival was organized by the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University and includes a sprawling line-up of concerts, club dates and a world premiere dance performance, in paying homage to the 85th birthday of Davis, who was born in Alton, ILL.

Among the recent festival highlights include the Bitches Brew 40th Anniversary Band, which performed to a Sold-Out, Standing Room Only crowd at Martyrs. The impressive line-up featured classic Miles Davis alumni along with his nephew, Vince Wilburn, Jr. of Miles Davis Properties, LLC on drums and renowned turntablist DJ Logic.
