| Sandi Thom To Play The Live and Unsigned Tour Sandi Thom is to play the Live and Unsigned Tour at The Coal Exchange, Cardiff on Sunday 20th March. The soulful, blues-influenced vocalist will be taking to the stage as a special guest to share her powerful lyrics and creative sound. Sandi, who was responsible for the chart topping hit "I wish I was a punk rocker", has been working on new material and has gone back to her influences, rediscovering her love of guitar giants such as Peter Green. She even took on Glastonbury in 2010, playing lead guitar on a cover of Led Zeppelin's When the Levee breaks. Sandi will be rocking Cardiff with a selection of her best hits and tracks, including offerings from her latest album Merchants and Thieves and will be supported by all the best original talent Live and Unsigned has to offer. With seven number ones under her belt, the Scottish lass's Welsh date is set to be unmissable! Sandi is a true example of how being determined to make it in the music industry can change your life, as her career began when she created her own gigs using just a webcam. She is the perfect inspiration to the Live and Unsigned entrants, showing that talent always wins through. Sandi said: "In a world where it is getting increasingly difficult to break into the music business, supporting unsigned, original acts is more important than ever. "I'm really looking forward to getting up on stage in Cardiff and rocking out and it's great to be supported by fresh, new talent!" write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Jazz News :: home page |
