| Serbian Jazz Trio Signs Record Deal with Sunset Jazz Recordings Serbian Jazz Trio, Woodcock Group, has signed a record deal this week with Sunset Jazz Recordings. The Serbian traditional jazz trio, Woodcock Group, will release the album, Water Stories with the Sunset Jazz record company. Aleksandar Jovanovic, the jazz trio's pianist, brought together the incredible musicians, Marko Fabry for his electric bass work on the CD, along with drummer, Aleksandar Cvetkovic. Don Lichterman, the head of Sunset Jazz, says that he "very happy about the overall sense of direction we (Sunset Jazz Recordings) are headed at the jazz label at Sunset." The traditional styled jazz trio was heard by record label head, Don Lichterman, and he quickly signed the band this month. "They are finishing up in the studio this week, " (Don) Lichterman says about the Water Stories CD, and "I set that up for a second week in May release knowing that we will be done any day." The band got the attention of the label with by using the Sunset A&R Submittal for artists that are looking for record deals. The label has indeed set up the Woodcock Group to release their debut album Water Stories for the Sunset Jazz record label, on May 10th, later on this year.
