| The Strokes Reveal Comeback Album Track List The Strokes have confirmed the title of their long-awaited fourth album, Angles, which will be out March 22 via RCA Records. The lead single, "Under Cover Of Darkness, " will land at radio in February. The band has also released the entire track list for Angles, their first new release since 2006's First Impressions Of Earth. Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi recently spoke to MySpace Music about the making of Angles, and the long delay between records. He said, "I feel like it's gonna be impossible for us to make music that'll live up five years of nothing. It's kind of that Chinese Democracy syndrome. You take that much time off.. no matter what you do it's not gonna be as good as people want it to be. I feel like no matter what the record is, or how hard we worked on it, or how much we like it, it's not gonna live up to people's expectations only because of those five years between the last one and this one." According to a press release, the Strokes are plotting a Spring tour of the U.S. The Strokes were announced last week as one of the headliners for the Coachella Festival in April and for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in May. Angles track listing: 1. "Machu Picchu" 2. "Under Cover of Darkness" 3. "Two Kinds of Happiness" 4. "You're So Right" 5. "Taken For A Fool" 6. "Games" 7. "Call Me Back" 8. "Gratisfaction" 9. "Metabolism" 10. "Life Is Simple In The Moonlight" write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Jazz News :: home page |
