CNL Signs Gordon Goodwin and The Big Phat Band

Casting New Lives is pleased to announce that we now represent Gordon Goodwin and his Big Phat Band! "We are honored to represent an artist of Gordon's stature", said Brinka Rauh of CNL. Gordon and the Big Phat Band have a new CD being release in April on Concord Jazz. CNL will be booking Gordon's national tour to coincide with the album release. Gordon Goodwin is an Emmy and Grammy winning composer and is leader of the acclaimed Big Phat Band. Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band is comprised of Los Angeles' finest musicians and has released 4 critically acclaimed and top selling records, with a 5th to come. "That's How We Roll, " the Phat Band's newest recording, will be released on April 12, 2011 on Concord Jazz.
Gordon's work as a composer has garnered him three Emmy Awards, and eleven Grammy nominations, with one win for his work on the Pixar film "The Incredibles." He has built a larger-than-life reputation for his composing, arranging and playing skills throughout the music industry. Ray Charles, Christina Aguilera, Johnny Mathis, Toni Braxton, John Williams, Natalie Cole, David Foster, Sarah Vaughn, Mel Torme, Brian McKnight and Quincy Jones are just a few of the artists with whom he has written for, recorded and performed. Gordon has conducted world-renowned symphony orchestras in Atlanta, Dallas, Utah, Seattle, Toronto and London.
Gordon is a strong advocate for music education and his charts for the Big Phat Band have become favorites in high school and college music programs throughout the world. He is the author of three jazz method books for Alfred Publishing: Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Play Along Series, Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Jazz Duets for Saxophone and The Music of Gordon Goodwin Play Along.
