| Flint Westrock Returns With New Country Album Heaven n Earth Flint Westrock has gone from singing sweetheart songs to country spiritual and Americana blues influenced music on his new and first release in four years, Heaven n Earth, on LeRoi Records. On the cover of the CD (by top commercial artist Craig Tyler) he looks like the granite faced sheriff going to a high noon showdown in the center of town. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but it does not reflect what you hear on Heaven n Earth. The vocalist is heartfelt and anything but stern on his sophomore release. Westrock again finds many ways to entertain his audience by offering up seventeen down to earth country tracks with the soulful flavor of the blues courtesy of special guest Mitch Kashmar on harmonica. The performers on the CD are at the top of their game and you can hear the joy in the music and the vocals of Westrock. And once again, all of the songs were written by Pete Umoff. With stellar tracks like "Oh Nadine", "Lost Highway" and "Lightning Strikes", Nashville is bound to be turning their heads wondering who the singing cowboy from California is. Heaven n Earth gives listeners a variety of styles to enjoy on one CD and the tracks are bound to find crossover success on the airwaves. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Jazz News :: home page |
