| Paco de Lucía Visits Rome for his Farewell Tour Paco de Lucía, considered by many to be the world's greatest living flamenco guitarist, will be making a final visit to Rome on December 7th 2010, to say goodbye to fans on his last tour before retiring. There will be a mixture of joy and sorrow as flamenco lovers hear the master guitarist play a musical goodbye during his farewell tour. He has been performing for over 50 years. Born in Cádiz in 1947, De Lucía is a composer and master guitarist, and is considered by many to be the world's best modern flamenco guitarist. He is a leading proponent of the Modern Flamenco style, and is one of the few guitarists who has enjoyed success in multiple genres, including classical, jazz, world music, and both classical and modern flamenco.
