New Album From David Campbell

David Campbell returns to his roots with the new album On Broadway available November 2. The Masterworks Broadway recording includes musical theater classics plus the world premiere recording of 'Goodbye' from the Broadway-bound musical Catch Me If You Can, written by Hairspray's Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Campbell will perform material from On Broadway and more in a series of exclusive appearances in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco beginning November 23.

On Broadway sees David Campbell interpreting a host of beloved musical theater songs on record for the first time. Accompanied by a full orchestra conducted by Broadway maestro Rob Fisher, On Broadway combines songs from Campbell's starring roles in Australia alongside musical theater standards.

One of Australia's biggest selling recording artists, David Campbell has also achieved considerable success in the United States. His critically acclaimed New York show attracted major crowds and created what Time Out New York described as '...the biggest buzz since Barbra Streisand.' Campbell's show subsequently moved to Rainbow & Stars where he became the youngest performer ever to headline the iconic venue. With this success as a launch-pad, Campbell was soon in demand from Broadway's most prestigious writers and directors. He was cast in the New York premiere of Stephen Sondheim's musical Saturday Night and played a leading role in New York City Center Encores! production of Babes In Arms. He has released two highly praised recordings in the U.S. and has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning.

In his native Australia, David Campbell has appeared on television, theater and cabaret, recorded four top ten albums, and sold out five concert tours from coast to coast. Campbell starred in several Australian musical productions including Les Misrables and Shout. He is signed to Sony Australia where he has released four albums including On Broadway.
